Hi All,
I’m no editor. But for shits and giggles, I cut a kick ass LIVE in NYC performance video of Connected By Wire by the Public. We had 3 cameras and over 200 kick ass, high-res still photos. Further, we had a pro sound guy recording who will hopefully also be mastering it (wink, wink joe darling). The EPK and documentary are coming as soon as we get a real editor in our “budget” range.
The documentary took an interesting and intriguing turn during the interviews. I have found the strongest story to explore and am eager to structure it. Predictably, production-wise, it all snowballed and added up to desperately needing a trip to New Orleans with my crew. I wonder how I’m going to pull off those shots. Ha! Surely, I’ll think of something.
Speaking of which, I’ve been grounded from shooting anything else until something comes out of post. It’s probably a good idea.
Tomorrow I start a new 9-5 job. I’m still working with Nanette, I just got bored and disconnected when everyone ran off to Indiana (which was a good thing—I mean, she got her next feature funded and shooting!). So in the mean time, I’m going to help this guy manage his documentary company. It’s cool—they have lots of good stuff going on and some in the works. I like the “in works” stuff because I’ll have a hand in development.
…blah…I just got distracted cutting this DJ/Singer at a club thing. Bad light. Uggh.
