SOMETHING FOR WIMMIN - class thing
I think this was an excersize. I certainly don’t remember being this crazy. It was for my creative writing class. I suppose this extreme essay was only a precurser to my current rants? Who knows. It’s weird. -amp 11/2/05
What is a patriarchy? Is it simply a dictionary definition or is it more complex than that?
The answer is it is more complex than that, as is all social concepts. Combined with capitalism, this social structure is lethal. Here are some simple concepts about the patriarchy to keep in mind while you think it’s keeping you down. The best way to deal with our society and our government is to know your enemy.
1). They want you to be thin. This is population and gene distribution control. If the patriarchy makes you believe you have to be thin and that men must be attracted to a thin womyn, then that accomplishes the following:
-
a). It perpetuates mass insecurity. If wimmin are engulfed in being attractive and thin by preoccupying their time with what they will eat and throw up next, then they are not in control of what is important. The men and wimmin who see through it are the ones who will reproduce the most viable offspring. Also, wimmin tormented with their appearance in adolescence and grow out of it is potentially dangerous to the patriarchy. They learn to look elsewhere for their beauty and become strong and intelligent. This tactic is greatly flawed.
b). Men will desire to breed with the a less fit body type. By not being attracted to wimmin with well distributed body fat for nutrition and protection, large hips for easy passage, and health for easy recovery and years of strength, then the future generations will suffer; only those with depth will survive and reproduce.
2). Destruction of nature– It is generally our policy to be the only animal on the planet to produce non-biodegradable wastes. This concept is a tremendous sacrifice and questionably worthwhile sacrifice. This will lead to mass destruction of our natural resources, but in the future will drive the fact that fertility and continuous reproduction is an incredible natural process that we should cherish and strive to maintain. This concept is troubling because though the other ones effectualy sacrifice the people of the present, this one will hurt the people of the future.
3). Competition over cooperation. American men particularly enjoy being at each other’s throat in the business world. This concept is important because these men will be preoccupied while the rest of the world lives on. This has large scale implications. These jerks tie up courts, hog money, benefits, and goods, and hurt others in the long run. Some of these people are sacrificed in their “survival of the fittest” tactics, when really they will weed themselves out of society and those who wish to cooperate will prevail. This has been a popular trend as of late and a lot of people have been persecuted and tortured as a result of it.
4). Apathy and laziness. The patriarchy advocates capitalism and industrialism. As long as you are not individually productive and an active citizen in society– you can’t cause any problems. From microwave dinners, fast food, and canned foods (which slowly intoxicate you and make you unhealthy) to mass produced personal transportation (which increases chances of fatal accidents and density of harmful pollutants). Medical science and nutrition education are only a scapegoat for the patriarchy’s true agenda. This concept will evolve adapted and well bred individuals that will eventually tolerate such toxins and stimulate the will to live and be healthy.
Needless to say, the patriarchy is horrible way to live. It seems to be getting worse everyday, but it will only comeback around and fail itself. Apparently, the future was not thought out, and their psychological torment will only make a stronger victim, not a weaker one. Maybe there are other non-passive ways to battle this society since the strategies listed above are merely predictions and not actions. There is hope in this passive behavior, but we must decide if the sacrifices from it are worth saying “I told you so” later.
